We now had the EU Referendum and the results were not surprising to many who have been following political events in this country.
England voted to ‘Leave” along with Wales, while Scotland overwhelmingly voted to ‘Remain’ along with Northern Ireland. The Pandora’s box has been opened and the belly of the “Great Beast” has been finally revealed. Lies and misinformation from the Leave campaign won while Remain were completely outflanked by the disunity among their ranks with the English public voting to kick the establishment and use this occasion as a protest vote! The lies are unraveling as we speak and Boris is no longer in the running for Prime Minister!
So! What next for Scotland? Nicola Sturgeon was the only Politician who presented a plan, post Brexit and the Unionists followers don’t like what they are hearing. The First Minister of Scotland got a mandate to continue in government in the last Holyrood elections with a manifesto that clearly stated that a change in circumstance would allow her to ask the Scottish Parliament for a second Independence referendum to protect Sottish interests.
Personally, I am not keen in Scotland holding its second referendum so soon, as I believe one of the key reasons we lost the previous vote was the currency and of course we don’t have the 60% or more support for Independence. If anyone with a brain who has actually watched Nicola propose a motion in parliament to protect Scottish interests in the EU would know that she mentioned IndyRef2 as a final resort after all available avenues were exhausted. Even then Nicola did say she would propose this in the form of a resolution to the parliament which would then be voted by all MSP’s. It seems all the Unionist and establishment media were only taking about her final option and failed to inform their readers about the first two!
Little England and Wales have voted to leave the EU and this must be respected at all costs. No second EU referendum must happen. This is Democracy and if people fell for the lies and fears on immigration then I am sorry to say we have to pay the price for our lack of judgement and information.
Interesting times are ahead for the UK & Great Britain. Will we follow the collapse of Yugoslavia, only time will tell.
So! Now we are told that the costs for replacing Trident is over £200 billion!! In this day and age it beggars belief that so many people of this island nation want to hold on to an outdated weapons systems.
Budgets are being cut in the name of austerity. The poor and the disadvantaged are being used as guinea pigs to balance the books! The rich get richer and the politicians get richer too! What on earth is going on? Have we become so powerless and disillusioned that we are allowing the government and the USA to dictate to us what is in fact an abomination in the name of keeping us safe? It seems we cannot do anything as the people we elected are funded by special interest groups before they become elected and in return have to sell their souls to their Masters.
Politician like Lord Robertson and Hutton are on the payroll of companies that will benefit from this contract. Big US Corporations like the Cohen Group, General Dynamics Electric Boat Company, Lockheed Martin and Bechtel. (Source: Private Eye No.1413).
Anyone supporting the renewal of Trident is, in my opinion a warmonger and killers of future innocent people just like the terrorists. No difference at all as the ethos and ideology is the same.
A point to note here is that the British taxpayers will foot the bill for a weapons system that they do not control but the US military!!!!!!!! What we are actually doing is propping the economy of the US which is heavily run by the Industrial/Military/Pharmaceutical complex.
War is money and the US will make a killing, literally speaking if Trident is renewed.
We invaded Iraq because of weapons of mass destruction, so I am assuming any country that takes offense to us having these weapons can invade us to rid the world of dangerous weapons.
I rest my case.
The recent Holyrood elections have given us a parliament that was always meant, to never elect a “majority”. The result is not a loss or failure for the SNP as made out in the tabloid right wing press but a win for the Scottish people, both Unionists and Independence supporters! I wish these same people (Unionists) would demand the same electoral process for England or No Tuition Fees for English students or No Prescription charges.
The current Holyrood elections are just over and Ruth Davidson has been all over the press saying she has the mandate by the Scottish people to stop Nicola Sturgeon having a second Referendum. Really! Has she gotten so delusional that a mere 22% of the constituency votes makes her think she is invincible and can hold the SNP government to account? Applying her same logic to the SNP, with 46.5% of the votes; what mandate does Nicola Sturgeon have? Your guess is as good as mine.
The next five years will be interesting to watch as I hope politicians from all parties work together to inspire us and achieve a better more equitable society rather than focusing all their power and money on a few at the top.
So! Ian Duncan Smith, former Secretary of State for Work and Pensions has resigned with a conscience! What a day to resign on (Sports Relief Fundraiser Day), so that the news would be buried among the enthusiastic, fun loving, sporty people of this country. It did work because, questions were not asked by the media as to the real reason behind his resignation. By his own previous admission, he completely demolished the system that was meant to look after us all in times of need and crisis, either because of ill-health or loss of employment. The crocodile tears that were shed after his resignation as to the cause being George Osbourne is utterly hilarious. His pet project “Universal Tax Credits” has been a very expensive vanity Tory hate the working class and the poor ideology.
The National Audit Office said universal credit, the £2.4bn project meant to consolidate six welfare payments into one, has been beset by “weak management, ineffective control and poor governance”.Ministers have already written off £34m wasted on failed IT programmes for the project run by the Department for Work and Pensions and may be forced to delay its national launch beyond 2017, the NAO says.
By resigning, Ian has done what every clever, manipulating, conniving Politician of the lowest order has done in the past, deflected all the miseries caused by him onto George Osbourne!

Once again, Multi-corporations are trying their best to mitigate the damage caused by the UK tax payer finding out about their not so “Social Responsibility” tag. This headline news, once again is a clever ploy, to distract the public by putting out a statement through news channels about them taking this seriously. Once again, time will tell, whether anything will really change in the long term. For the common man/women £100 million is a lot of money, but for the Corporations its pennies as they dabble in Billions and Trillions.
Small change compared to what they should be really paying. I will in the next few weeks post more details about how to interpret these headlines as George Osborne and company are all part of this problem. If we don’t understand this, then we will never be able to effect positive change in the country and save our public services from being privatized by Politicians and their handlers/paymasters.

Some of you may know that in the last few years, major Corporations like Amazon, Starbucks, etc. have be exposed as some of the well know brands not paying their fair share of UK tax. The short clip gives an insight into how and why companies like Facebook do this and get away “legally” not paying their taxes! Have you ever wondered why public services are being cut, well! its not because of the so called “benefit scroungers” but Corporations like Facebook who by not paying their taxes do not contribute to the public purse in away you and I do. Will this change? or can this change? Of course it can, its up to us.
